Supporting Jollibee Workers' Rights and Demands

APALA Philadelphia Chapter is proud to be an organization committed to upholding the rights and well-being of workers, not just in the United States, but also globally. We are standing with Jollibee Workers and offering our unwavering support for them and their justified demands, as Jollibee has failed to uphold the rights of its employees. We stand with Jollibee workers fighting for higher wages and better working conditions, and firmly believe that workers have every right to organize for better working conditions and deserve justice!

Jollibee, a Philippine-based fast food chain, has amassed significant profits internationally and in the Philippines, yet their success has been built upon the gross exploitation of their workers. Because of their organizing efforts, nine Jollibee workers at Journal Square, New Jersey, were

illegally terminated for demanding higher wages and holiday pay. They faced surveillance, harassment, and unjust treatment from management. The termination of these workers may have been an illegal action, but it will not silence their voices or the voices of other Jollibee workers. Jollibee workers worldwide, including those in the United States and the Philippines, have raised concerns about labor problems such as low wages, wage theft, understaffing, scheduling issues, misclassification of workers, and mistreatment. It is time for #Justice4JollibeeWorkers.

APALA Philadelphia Chapter supports the demands put forth by the Jollibee workers. Firstly, reinstate all workers who were illegally terminated. Secondly, provide backpay and compensation to address the hardships caused by Jollibee's actions. Thirdly, Jollibee must publicly apologize to these workers and all employees for violating their rights. Lastly, it is crucial to respect the workers' right to organize.

The Justice 4 Jollibee Workers campaign represents a collective effort to organize and advocate for better working conditions and higher wages for all workers globally.
