After months of community pressure, the Justice for Jollibee Workers campaign is declaring victory after the Philippine-based corporation finalized a settlement for reinstatement, back pay, and a public apology. The settlement comes after workers and community members protested in various Jollibee locations and the National Labor Relations Board filed a complaint against the corporation for violating federal labor law and their right to organize.

Jollibee pulled out within days of after an announcement by the Justice for Jollibee Campaign that they were going to protest at the event. The action follows the reinstatement of three of the nine Jollibee workers who were illegally terminated in February in Jollibee’s Journal Square branch in Jersey City. Despite reinstatement, the workers still seek backpay and a public apology.
